Contribute

Add value to Tribre. Get rewarded for it.

Contributors bring specific value to Tribre — research, writing, design, engineering, community work — without holding a long-term Steward role. Time-bound scope. Transparent rates. Real working relationships.

Ways to contribute

Six lanes Tribre takes contributor work in.

Design partnerships

Studio engagements with designers and design-led shops. Brand, product UI, illustration, identity work.

Research

User and field research that shapes how Tribre talks about roles and works with teams. Interview series, analysis, synthesis.

Writing for Role Call

Long-form essays on roles, careers, governance, AI-shaped work. Editorial collaboration.

Engineering

Time-bound builds for product or marketing. Often integrations or new module work, scoped to a single deliverable.

Community work

Hosting, facilitating, or curating gatherings — online or in-person — connected to Tribre's audiences.

Time-bound projects

Anything else that fits. If your work doesn't match the lanes above, we'd still want to hear from you.

How we pay

Cash, deliverables, and milestones.

  1. Cash and/or equity-equivalent. Most contributors are paid in cash. Some larger scopes can include an equity-equivalent component if both sides want that — a share in Tribre's growth that reflects the depth of involvement.
  2. Deliverable-based, not hourly. We agree on what gets produced and what it's worth. Hours are yours to organize.
  3. Rates published per opportunity. Every listed opportunity below shows its reward up front. No back-channel rate negotiation, no opaque ranges.
  4. Partial payment milestones for longer scopes. For multi-week or multi-deliverable work, payment splits across milestones so neither side is exposed to the full risk of the full scope.

Role Call essay — The new shape of the senior IC~3,000-word longform on how senior individual-contributor roles are reshaping under AI.€1,200 flat

A longform essay for Role Call Vol. 1. We've sketched the angle (the senior IC isn't disappearing, it's mutating — same name, very different work) and we want a writer who can take it somewhere sharper than we'd get to alone. Editorial collaboration with the Tribre team: one outline pass, one draft pass, one final. Voice guide will be your reference.

Skills

Strong longform portfolio. Opinionated. Background in or close to product, engineering, or design ICs. Comfortable with a real editorial process.

Field research — Inside AI-augmented operations teams8–10 in-depth conversations with ops leads who've integrated AI into their team's daily work. Synthesis memo + raw notes.€3,000 flat

We want a clear-eyed read on what's actually happening inside operations teams that have absorbed AI tools — not the tooling story, the role story. Who's doing what now? What got harder? What got easier? You run the interviews, you write the synthesis. Output becomes the spine of a Role Call series and shapes how Tribre talks about ops work for the rest of the year. Intros to ~3 starting interviewees provided; you source the rest.

Skills

Qualitative research experience (academic or applied is fine). Confident interviewing senior operators. Can write clean synthesis without burying the lede.

5–6 weeks

Field research — Inside AI-augmented operations teams
Editorial illustration — Role Call cover series, Vol. 1Six cover illustrations that set the visual register for Role Call's first essay series.€2,400 flat (€400 per cover) + named credit on every piece

Role Call needs its own look — quieter than tech-blog illustration, more confident than corporate. Six covers, one per essay, delivered as the essays land. We'll brief you on each piece and want one rough + one final per cover. You keep the rights to use the work in your portfolio; Tribre gets editorial usage in perpetuity.

Skills

Editorial illustration portfolio. Confident with conceptual briefs. Comfortable holding a consistent register across six pieces.

Time

Spread across ~4 weeks once essays start landing

Engineering — Audience router instrumentation + read-outWire proper analytics into tribre.com's audience router and build a one-page internal read-out of which path converts.€1,800 flat

tribre.com routes visitors into one of three audience paths (Stewards, Contributors, Community organizers). Right now we have light tracking but no clean read on conversion. Scope: extend the existing PostHog event layer, define funnel events end-to-end per audience, and ship a single internal dashboard the team can open on a Monday. Codebase is React/Vite/SSR/TypeScript; you'll be working alongside the maintainer.

Skills

Solid TypeScript. Hands-on with PostHog or a comparable analytics stack. Ships small, ships fast, doesn't over-build.

Time

~5–7 working days

Community — Host a Tribre dinner in AmsterdamCurate and host one 10–12 person dinner for operators thinking seriously about role redesign.€1,000 flat + dinner costs covered (up to €1,200)

We bring the topic and the framing, you bring the room. Curate a guest list of 10–12 — ops leads, founders, people heads, senior ICs who actually wrestle with how their roles are shifting. Pick the venue, run the evening, write a short follow-up note (1 page) on what landed. We'd love to make this a series; first dinner is the audition for both sides.

Skills

Strong personal network in the AI-meets-people-ops space in NL. Can host a room without dominating it. Has done this kind of curation before.

Time

2–3 weeks lead, one evening execution
